General

Guitarists who play a six-string bass now have the opportunity to play with fanned frets, thanks to the Ibanez Bass Workshop. The SRFF806 features fanned frets on a rosewood fretboard and a Soundgear body with a beautiful black stained finish. You're provided with a scale of 35.5 inches that graduates to 33.6 inches towards the first string. As a result, the lower strings sound a lot tighter and provide you with a solid grip for the bass tones. Because the thinner strings are shorter, they're more flexible and give the trebles a creamy edge.
Ibanez SRFF806 Black Stained: fanned frets, wood types and Mono-rail VI
These are the most important reasons why many professional bass players use fanned frets live and in the studio. When you decide to play the Ibanez SRFF806, you're not compromising any playing comfort. On the contrary! Thanks to the fanned fret design, they closely follow the natural movements of your left wrist, which greatly enhances playing comfort. The neck consists of five pieces of bubinga/jatoba and is bolted onto a comfortably light Soundgear ashwood body. This results in a balanced, warm sound with exactly the right amount of punch. Thanks to the Mono-rail VI bridge with six separately adjustable saddles, you're provided with extra tuning stability and sustain.
Bartolini BH1 and Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ
When looking at the pickups, you'll be surprised by the two superior Bartolini humbuckers. These passive BH1 soap bars are a great amplified addition to the acoustic basic sound of the SRFF805. With just the right amount of articulation, the warm core sound can be even further adjusted by means of the active Custom 3-band equalizing. Do you want to switch between active and passive? You can with the EQ bypass switch, which allows you to play an extremely wide range of different music styles like jazz, pop, funk, and rock.
