de bas speelt erg licht. wel was het even wennen, een extra B snaar. het geluid is geweldig. bovendien heb je mogelijkheden om van geluid te wisselen doordat de elementen via een panpot zijn te mengen. hiervoor heb ik van alles geprobeerd maar deze bas is de beste keuze voor mij...
afwerking is ook prima in orde.

De eerste indruk van de SR755 - door de dunne hals speelt deze bas erg licht, dit was voor mij de voornaamste reden om deze bas te bestellen. Door een blijvende blessure aan de gewrichten in mijn vingers, heb ik problemen met een 'normale' basgitaar.
Helaas is de bas in tegenstelling tot wat ik in verschillende andere reviews gelezen heb verre van stil. Direct valt een redelijk doordringende statische storing op, ook kraakt de volumeknop. In dezelfde setup (qua versterker en bekabeling) heb ik hier nooit last van bij mijn Warwick Infinity SN.
Voor de zekerheid heb ik ook nog even mijn TC Electronic stack aangesloten en nu valt me op dat de storing alleen opvallend aanwezig is als ik de versterker op een niet-geaard stopcontact aansluit. Nogmaals, hier heb ik bij mijn Warwick geen last van, dus wat mij betreft is dit een belangrijk nadeel van de SR755, want helaas spelen we ook nog wel eens op plaatsen waar de stroomvoorziening niet super is...
Verder staat in de specificaties dat de treble pot in passieve mode zou moeten werken als toonregeling, maar ik hoor op geen van de versterkers enig verschil als ik in passieve mode aan de treble pot draai. Hierdoor begin ik me af te vragen of ik misschien een DOA heb gekregen waar wellicht een probleem is met de electronica?? Misschien heeft Bax hier een antwoord op?
Voor nu dus 2 van de 5 sterren, want de statische storing, krakende volumepot en niet functionerende toonregelijk in passieve mode vind ik niet passen bij een gitaar van deze prijsklasse.
Sound kwaliteit en diversiteit is bijzonder goed!
Enig puntje van opmerking is dat de fret edges een tikkie scherp zijn. Niet vervelend, maar ook niet zacht.
Ik zocht primair een P-sound met 5 snaren die zowel actief als passief goed inzetbaar is. Daarnaast wilde ik een J-pickup erbij voor de diversiteit. This one's got it all!
