General

The Ibanez SR1800-NTF is yet another beautiful instrument from the Sound Gear Premium series. This series comprises high-quality instruments that have been manufactured with utmost precision and finished with luxury materials. This four-string bass guitar has a body made of walnut and mahogany and has a beautifully lined rosewood and flamed maple top. The ends of the frets have been rounded to provide you with a smooth and comfortable playing experience.

Atlas-4 neck

The neck of this SR1800-NTF is constructed of three parts wenge and two parts bubinga wood. These wood types not only make the neck more stable, they also contribute to the sound of this instrument. Wenge provides clear mids and a quick response while bubinga contributes to a clear mid as well, but also takes care of a fat and well-defined low. This, in combination with the wood types of the body, guarantees you a modern, tight sound with a firm low and a clear mid.

Nordstrand

The Nordstrand pickups also lend a helping hand when it comes to the guitar's sound. These Big Single pickups are soap bar-sized single coils that produce a full and powerful sound with an aggressive edge. Nevertheless, they still maintain that typical single-coil clarity. The EQBIIISC 3-band tone control and the preamps, that have been designed specifically for the Nordstrand pickups, allow for a pure and wide frequency response. You can choose whether the mid switch controls 250 Hz or 600 Hz. All of these features together make this SR1800-NTF bass by Ibanez a versatile, high-quality instrument that can take on any music genre.
