TASCAM heeft de M-164 studio mixer in drie verschillende versies op de markt gebracht. Naast de gewone M-164 is er de uitgebreide M-164 UF en deze M-164 FX, uitgerust met digitale effecten!

De FX versie van de M-164 verschilt ten opzichte van de reguliere studio mixer door een ingebouwde stereo effect processor. Deze processor levert 16 programma's van reverb, delay, chorus en andere fraaie effecten.

Naast de effect mogelijkheden heeft de M-164 FX dezelfde eigenschappen als de andere twee mixers uit de serie. Zes XLR microfoon ingangen met fantoomvoeding met 3-band EQ en hipass filter en vijf stereo line ingangen brengen het totaal op 16 ingangen.

Wrote the following about Tascam M-164 FX

Ik was op zoek naar een mixer met de aansluitingen aan de achterkant om in te kunnen bouwen in een vaste opstelling.

Deze mixer voldoet volledig aan de verwachtingen. De schuiven en draaiknoppen voelen stevig en niet goedkoop aan. Effecten zijn makkelijk in te stellen (een beetje galm op zang is altijd fijn) en de aansluitingen zijn stevig en kraak vrij.

Het meest ideale vind ik nog de sub track. Als je bijvoorbeeld een drumstel op een paar kanalen hebt, kun je deze makkelijk op de sub bus zetten in plaats van direct op de stereo, en kun je deze via 1 schuif makkelijk harder of zachter zetten. ook makkelijk voor meerdere microfoons bij een koor. via de sub track kan het hele koor met 1 schuif harder en achter worden zetten.

Ook de indicatoren per kanaal zijn ideaal. Per kanaal zien hoe hard iets staat, ook al staat de schuif dicht.

Al met al een mooi apparaat voor een mooie prijs.
