Would you like to take up electronic drumming, but do you lack the space or the budget for it? The HD-3 of Roland's V-Drums Lite series might be the perfect solution! This compact and stylish drum kit offers a great sound and excellent playability at an affordable price. The HD-3 is the ideal drum kit for beginners, but is also great for home studios, schools or gamers.

HD-3: noiseless and more expressive components
The HD-3 electronic drum kit is equipped with a beater-less bass drum pedal, a noiseless hi-hat pedal and softly lined toms and snare. As such, it is extremely silent and feels very comfortable. Connect your favourite headphones and you won't bother anyone when you are practising those tricky drum rolls and breaks. The snare and cymbals of the HD-3 feature dual trigger zones, which allow for a more expressive way of playing. You can make rimshots on your snare and hitting the edge of a cymbal produces a different sound than hitting the centre. It is even possible to dampen your cymbals by hand.

User-friendly and versatile drum module
The drum module of the HD-3 offers the sounds of 20 drum kits and is fitted with user-friendly controls and a large illuminated LCD display. The elaborate built-in metronome features a wide tempo range and various selectable sounds. If you connect your MP3 player or iPod to the Mix input, you can play along to your favourite music. Instead of your headphones, you can also choose to connect the optional PM-03 drum monitor for a full, 2.1 stereo sound.

Wrote the following about Roland HD-3 V-Drums Lite electronic drum kit

Dit is het perfecte drumstel voor de beginnende speler, maar ook de gevorderde (ik) speler kan er veel mee doen. Ik had dit drumstel gekocht omdat ik (helaas) echt een ruimtegebrek had en de buren last van het drummen hadden.

Er is 1 dingetje waar ik van baal, de bass-drum pedaal voelt echt heel onrealistisch, maar na een tijdje op dit drumstel te hebben gedrumd is het gevoel er wel een beetje (niet zo als op een normale, maar ja). Het is natuurlijk wel zo dat je door dit speciale pedaal (bijna) geen geluid produceert als je er op trapt.

Kortom:

+ Haast geen geluid (indien er met een koptelefoon wordt gedrumd).
+ Lekker compact, neemt weinig plek in.
+ Drumstel ziet er echt mooi uit
+ Realistische snare pad

- Onrealistische bass-drum pedaal

Licht en veelzijdig, makkelijk los te koppelen en de snare heeft een ontzettend fijne terugslag. De module die word bijgeleverd beschikt over voldoende sound kits voor de beginnende drummer, maar kan voor de gevorderde drummer iets te basic zijn. De setup is ietwat aan de kleine kant, maar wat wil je voor een Lite-versie. Prijs-kwaliteit: een dikke 8,0.
