General

De Fantom XR is de 19 inch rackversie uit de Fantom X serie. De XR bevat alle synthesizer en sampling mogelijkheden die de klavier versies ook hebben.

De 1U synthesizer/sampler module biedt plaats aan meer dan 1GB geluiden. De XR heeft dezelfde soundchip als de klavierversies. Hierdoor kan er veel audiodata worden verwerkt, wat zich in een uitstekende klankkwaliteit uit. Het interne 128 MB golfvormgeheugen zorgt ervoor dat de piano voor elke noot een aparte sample hanteert. Daarnaast zorgt het geheugen voor nieuwe strijkers en drums.

Het ROM-geheugen is optioneel aan te vullen tot 512 MB door zes SRX expansie borden te installeren. Het samplegeheugen is van oorsprong 16 MB. Met DIMM's is dit geheugen optioneel uit te breiden naar maar liefst 528 MB, waardoor de module dus over de 1 GB aan geluiden kan hebben.
