De Pioneer X-SMC00 Slim Micro System is een uitstekende thuisbasis voor uw iPhone of iPod. Wanneer u niet op pad bent, zet u deze simpelweg in de uitschuifbare dock, waarna u uw playlist door de 2 x 10 Watt-speakers kunt laten spelen. De houder is voorzien van een 30 pins-connector, zodat bijna alle iPhones en iPods erin passen. Mocht u een iPhone 5 bezitten, dan gebruikt u de meegeleverd externe houder. En deze is ook nog eens geschikt voor de iPad mini! Het systeem wordt geleverd inclusief uitgebreide afstandsbediening.

X-SMC00: ook voor CD, USB en 3.5 mm
De X-SMC00 heeft een hoop verborgen extra's. Het grijze voorpaneel - dat overigens verwisseld kan worden voor een van de twee meegeleverde panelen - kan opzij schuiven, waarna u toegang hebt tot de CD-speler. Deze ondersteunt audio-CD's, maar ook CD's met MP3- en WMA-bestanden. Ook is de Slim Micro System uitgerust met ingang voor USB-stick, waar eveneens MP3 en WMA van afgespeeld kunnen worden. Verder is de geluidsset uitgerust met FM-radio en met een analoge audio-ingang, voor aansluiting van apparaten met bijvoorbeeld een 3.5 mm hoofdtelefoon-uitgang.
