De nieuwe Genelec 8260A drieweg DSP monitor is een actieve studio monitor. Met zijn door Genelec ontworpen Genelec MDC (Minimum Diffraction Coaxial Mid/High driver) technologie is deze monitor een stap dichterbij de perfecte studio monitor.

Hij heeft een zeer helder en direct geluid en een brede frequente respons. De 8260A combineert de coaxiale driver met moderne techniek zodat het geluid over het volledig frequentie spectrum te horen is.

Hij heeft een 10 inch, 150 Watt woofer en een 5 inch mid-range speaker van 120 Watt. Dit levert een frequentie bereik op van 29 Hz tot 21 kHz, en crossover frequenties van 490 Hz tot 3 kHz.

Hij heeft een analoge en een digitale (AES/EBU) 24bit audio ingang en een ingebouwde versterker. Hij kan zowel hangend als staand geplaatst worden. Een speciale voet wordt bijgeleverd.

De monitor kan in vele situaties toegepast worden als postproductie, muziekproductie en mastering, maar ook als DJ monitor is hij zeer geschikt door zijn 150 Watt laag vermogen.
