General
De RPM8 is een echte no-nonsense actieve studio monitor. Hij beschikt dan ook niet over talloze ingangen of instellingsmogelijkheden. Eén ingang, één volumeregeling. Meer is er niet nodig om hem optimaal te laten klinken.
Componenten van de RPM 8
De RPM8 beschikt over een 8 inch woofer en een 1 inch hoogdriver. De woofer is versterkt met kevlar, de tweeter is van het type 'silk dome'. Een interne versterkermodule zorgt voor het nodige vermogen. Per driver is er een aparte versterker beschikbaar. Het hoog krijgt 40 Watt toegespeeld, het laag krijgt het dubbele; 80 Watt.
De combinatie van componenten zorgt er voor dat de RPM8 een geluidsdruk van 113 dB SPL kan halen. Dit is onder meer te danken aan het speciale design met de basspoorten naast de tweeter. Een stevige bassreproductie wordt hiermee moeiteloos geproduceerd.
Nearfield monitor
De RPM8 heeft een nearfield design. Hierdoor kan hij dicht bij de gebruiker worden geplaatst om een optimale geluidskwaliteit te behalen. Ideaal voor producing studio's, omdat daar de monitoren vaak vlak bij staan.
