General
The gymnastic level of flexibility offered by the heavy-duty stompbox formatted Koch Pedaltone II can be placed before a power amp, hooked up to the clean-channel of a guitar amplifier or connected to directly to a mixer to add pure tube-driven tone to your sound. Three 12AX7 tubes take care of a two-channel preamp section while a fourth drives a 0.5 Watt OTS power amplifier for the effect of full power amp tubes that sounds fatter than ever.
The Sixteen Sides of the Pedaltone II
The Pedaltone II provides a total of 16 possible settings. So, you get the choice of Channel 1 Clean, Channel 1 Enhanced, Channel 2 Distortion, and Channel 2 Boost. The OTS (Output Tube Saturation) can be applied to every mode and there's even the option to flip between Rhythm-volume and Solo-volume. All of this is brought together by a solid steel housing fitted with five outputs, including a headphone output and record-out, both of which come with speaker simulation.

Toen ik dit pedaal aansloot, koptelefoon op. Was gelijk overtuigd, dit is de sound van mijn gitaren. Puur, warm, veelzijdig. Heerlijk helder clean, randje erop. Tot stevige gain. Geen extreme sounds maar een heel breed bruikbaar sound pallet. Dezelfde avond de line-out via mono DI aangesloten op PA. Zowel over de speakers als in-ear, dezelfde sound als met de koptelefoon. Blijer kon ik niet worden. Constant niveau in de mix, in welke trap dan ook. Dan kun je hem ook nog eens op je eindversterker aansluiten mocht dat nodig zijn. Of zelfs op je voorversterker. Wat dit pedaal eigenlijk heel breed bruikbaar maakt. Van in de avond thuis op de bank wat pingelen tot de grootste gigs. De bediening is zo doordacht en eenvoudig. Je hoeft nooit weg te vallen qua sound. Beste pre-amp pedaal ooit, wat mij betreft. Voor deze prijs helemaal. Bouw er wat extra effect pedalen eromheen naar wens. Set up klaar en goed! Koch bedankt voor dit meesterwerk! En Bax-shop bedankt voor snelle levering, 10 % kortingscode en B-stock optie.
Wel een beetje lastig om de wah op de goede plek te krijgen (effectlust of voor input) als ik over mijn hoofdtelefoon speel.
