The New Neat Widget and Bee Series Mics for Busy Bees

The brand Neat, a member of the Gibson Brands family, has just released seven new microphones as well as an XLR cable. These microphones are all 'neatly' distributed over the Widget and the Bee series, each boasting its own unique appearance and impressive sonic properties.

The Neat Widget USB microphones

If you're in the market for a versatile USB microphone, then one of Neat's Widgets may be just the thing you're looking for. These mics combine unique design with great sound, and allow you to record music and vocals, conduct video phone calls via Skype or Facetime, and create YouTube content and voice-overs, for instance. The Widget series consists of three microphones named Widget A, Widget B and Widget C. Each one is equipped with plug-and-play functionality, a built-in shock mount and pop filter, and is compatible with both Mac and PC operating systems.

The Bee series

When we first laid eyes on these black and yellow microphones, we could barely 'bee'lieve it. Seriously though, this series was inspired by this insect’s distinctive black and yellow stripes and includes two USB mics and two large-diaphragm condenser mics. Neat even included a black and yellow XLR cable to match! The Bee series microphones are geared towards professionals.

The Beeline cable is six metres long and matches perfectly with the colour combination of the Neat King Bee and the Neat Worker Bee studio microphones, for instance. The USB mics in this series are also quite noteworthy. Its omnidirectional pickup pattern makes the Beecaster ideal for vocals, Skype or Facetime calls, and podcasting. The Bumblebee lets you choose between three different recording settings, depending on your audio source - music, voice, or neutral. The Neat Bee series microphones make quite an impression, but when it comes down to it, their with excellent performance and awesome audio deliver a lot more than just a pretty picture.
