New Deluxe Thinline and Nashville Telecasters from Fender

At the summer NAMM in Nashville, Fender has presented two new Telecaster models that add an extra dimension to the famous Tele sound. Firstly, there's the Deluxe Thinlines that have the hollow sound chamber, and secondly, the Deluxe Nashvilles that have an extra single-coil pickup fitted in the mid position. As these are luxury versions, the word ‘Deluxe’ has been added to the series names.

Deluxe Thinline Telecasters

The hollow sound chamber on the Thinline Telecasters already added a bit of extra edge to the authentic Tele sound. Now, two Vintage Noiseless pickups have been fitted in the bridge and neck positions for a sound that is even more detailed, with lots of definition and good balance. Not only that, but now there's a 4-way pickup switch that makes this guitar more versatile than ever before. Because the two single-coils operate in series, it's possible to get thick humbucker-like sounds with lots of midrange too. The Fender Deluxe Thinline Telecasters are available in 3-Tone Sunburst and Candy Apple Red.

Deluxe Nashville Telecasters

The Nashville Telecasters also offer something extra on top of the famous Tele twang. These models not only take their name from the home of country music, they practically live and breathe it! With three pickups however, this model is extremely versatile and suitable for most other genres too. Whether you're playing in the local pub or the Grand Ol' Opry, you'll enjoy a sound that is noise and hum free thanks to the Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups. The Deluxe Nashville Telecasters are available in four different colours: Daphne Blue, Fiesta Red, White Blonde, and 2-Color Sunburst.

Both of the Deluxe models have a fast neck, thanks to the relatively flat 12-inch fretboard radius. Because of this, it's also possible to lower the strings to make playing fast runs and string bending even easier. The string-through-body construction and six individual saddles improve intonation. The Telecasters also boast excellent tuning stability thanks to their short post locking tuners.
