Devine is a well-known name in our assortment, and their speakers are particularly popular. Devine specialises in entry-level loudspeakers that offer excellent value for money and all-around versatility, and the Onyx sets a new standard for affordable pro audio!
Devine Onyx: highly versatileDevine's Onyx series consists of three active full-range speakers that can also function as array speakers and three corresponding subwoofers. The full-range cabinets are made of synthetic material to keep them lightweight, and each is equipped with handles for easier manageability. You've got the choice between a 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch model and the three subwoofers come in 12, 15 or 18-inch models that go from subtle lows to thundering bass tones.
DesignIn terms of design, the Onyx speakers have a sleek black look with a robust metal grille that protects the speaker components, and acoustic foam for extra insulation. The cabinets are made of synthetic material and are shaped so that they can also be used as floor monitors. As well as handles, the speakers in this series have a 35mm stand flange.
The subwoofers are made of wood to ensure that the bass frequencies come across with perfect definition. On the rear of the 15 and 18-inch subwoofer, there is the possibility to add caster wheels to make transport even easier, and an M20 flange for a distance rod can be found on every subwoofer.
TechnologyThis series really shines in class and functionality. The speakers are driven by a Class-D + AB bi-amp amp module that powers the woofer and the tweeter. There are plenty of no-nonsense inputs, line and mic inputs, volume controls and a 2-band equalizer as well.
The subwoofer is equipped with a Class-D mono power amp combined with corresponding speaker components for a balanced sound. Together with the matching sub of your choice, you can create a 2.1 or 2.2 configuration. Each sub has a connection panel with stereo inputs and outputs and the built-in crossover separates frequencies of 80 or 120 Hz.
