This set of Stagg SPM-235 in-ear monitors boast a two-way driver system for clean audio reproduction framed by detailed high-frequencies and warm basses, leaving you fully focussed on the performance. These in-ears have a 30 Ohm impedance and come fitted with a standard 3.5mm mini-jack cable so they can be easily hooked up to anything from your mixer to a beltpack transmitter to complete a wireless setup, while the closed design ensures outstanding isolation, giving your personal monitor mix all the room it needs. This set comes complete with various earbuds in different sizes and made from both rubber and memory foam so you can find the optimum fit, and everything is neatly packed up in a strong EVA-moulded soft-case.

Ik vindt de pasvorm van de Shures beter. Ik gebruik de grootste foamen doppen want ik wil echt goeie afsluiting van het geluid. De grootste foamen doppen van de Staggs passen op zich goed (zijn wel een stuk kleiner dan de Shure variant) maar een erg belangrijk nadeel is dat ze echt minder dempen.
Hierdoor komen de geluiden van bijvoorbeeld de drums veel harder door (zelfs te hard tov de Shures) wat ook weer toe lijd dat je het volume van de in-ear harder moet zetten. Dit zorgt alleen maar voor meer overall-volume, dus slechter voor je gehoor.
Een no-go voor mij dus helaas en daardoor niet bruikbaar.
Ik mag graag een stukje lopen in de pauze op mijn werk en wou daar een handig setje oortjes voor hebben, zodoende de keuze voor de Stagg SPM-235 gezien de prijs en qua uiterlijk zag het er aantrekkelijk uit.
Eenmaal ontvangen worden ze geleverd in een net kartonnen doosje met print. Ziet er voor de prijs prima uit. Doosje geopend zien we een kunstof/"nep lederen" doosje met de oortjes + siliconen tips erbij.
Standaard zijn de "Medium" siliconen tips al geïnstalleerd op de oortjes, deze waren persoonlijk net een slag te groot voor mijn oren, zodoende dus voor mij de kleinere er op gedaan.
Desondanks krijg ik de oortjes niet echt goed in in mijn oren. Dit komt met name door een uitstekend stukje wat ze hebben gemaakt aan de binnenkant. Deze zou normaliter in het bovenste randje van je oor moeten vallen waardoor deze stabiel moet gaan zitten, bij bijvoorbeeld lopen en/of rennen. In mijn geval werkt dit tot het uitsteken van het geheel buiten mijn oor en past het niet lekker.
Dan het geluid: Wie van lage tonen houdt is aan het juiste adres.. Ze klinken zeker wel degelijk maar met name op laag. Beter dan mijn 215's ter vergelijking qua prijs. Echter overheerst het laag al gouw. Een stukje EQ is zeker aan de pas om het geheel een neutralere klank te geven. Maar voor de prijs een dikke +
Kort maar krachtig: klank is prima mits je van de hiphop/pop bent, zitting is (bij mij) niet helemaal lekker voor een ~ 30 jarige. Daar waar mijn Shures echt wel beter zitten en in het hoog beter uitkomen. Prijs/prestatie is qua bedrag prima.
Ik geef vanwege de vormgeving (dat uitstekende stukje aan de binnenkant) helaas maar 3 sterren.
