The Ayra TDC Burst 6 FX is an impressive upgrade of the standard Burst 6. The Burst 6 is, of course, a great lighting effect in its own right. However, if your shows are demanding more variation, then the multiple SMD LED strips fitted in the 6 FX might just inject the colour-changes and dynamics needed.
The Ayra Burst 6 FX: Create Something Phenomenal
The distinct colour possibilities offered by the Burst 6 FX are generated by the RGBAW LED light source and, when you blend the masses of multi-coloured light bundles this fixture produces with some mist or smoke, you can create something phenomenal. The SMD LED strips project every colour known to humankind and, since they're pixel-driven by a built-in controller, can also create multiple chase effects in series. This is a dynamic fixture with a broad projection and a list of possible effects to match.
Control and Installation
The Burst 6 FX is a club-light built for dancefloors, pubs, mobile DJs or music venues. Set it up in sound-reactive automatic mode or at a fixed speed (all adjustable using the included infrared remote control), or add it to your DMX circuit to programme it in whichever way you might want. The included mounting bracket also makes the Burst 6 FX easy to add to fixed or mobile setups.

Deze multi-moonflowers zijn er in vele versies, veel met ingebouwde laser, strobes, etc(DAP cyclone, ADJ Quad Faze, JB Invader etc). Een van de mooiere effecten naar mijn mening omdat de stralen niet springen zoals bij Derbi's en Mushrooms, maar draaien en faden.
Deze Burst6FX sprong er bij mij uit om:
- Hoge vermogen per kleur (8W)
- De kleur amber (rgbwA). Van rgb-mixing is in deze apparaten geen sprake. De Led's zitten in pentagon-vorm op de print, en worden nergens samen gevoegd/gefocussed. Dan vind ik de toevoeging van de kleur amber een must, gezien de warme kleur.
- 6 in plaats van 8 lenzen. Ik houd niet perse van lichteffecten, vanwege het al snel te drukke kermisgehalte, en daarmee de goedkope uitstraling. (niks ten nadele van onze jonge slaapkamer-enthousiasten ;) Maar omdat scanners/MH e.d. toch wat meer programmeerwerk/kwetsbaarheid met zich meebrengen, is dit een mooi alternatief. Hoe meer lenzen ze echter in deze apparaten stoppen, hoe sneller de stralen bewegen, en in en uit faden. Vandaar mijn voorkeur voor minder lenzen.
In de praktijk.
- Ik heb ze enkel aan de dmx-tafel gehangen en wat presets bekeken in combinatie met 4 led spots.
Het hogere vermogen van 8 watt per kleur is niet overduidelijk. Ik heb geen A/B vergelijking gedaan, maar om samen te gaan met 18w led spots (Showtec Compact power Light), komt het in sommige kleurencombi's iets te kort. (groene spots aan, dan valt de te veel Burst weg naar mijn smaak). Je kunt uiteraard je ledspots wat dimmen.
- Amber? Grootse minpunt, en voor mij bijna een retourtje Bax. Dit is geen amber! Wat het wel is mag joost weten. Het komt een beetje in de buurt van zalmroze. Waar amber-leds doorgaans een interne combo zijn van rood en groen, is deze amber meer een combi van rood en wit. Echt een gemiste kans.
Gezien de prijs (aanbieding) heb ik ze toch gehouden. Ik vind ze bruikbaar genoeg. Over de SMD-leds hoor je me niet. Daar heb ik ze niet voor gekocht. Leuke extra, en nog best fel ook. Maar in de praktijk niet bruikbaar voor mij. Ik zal ze misschien met DMX op zeer zachte stand gebruiken, en qua kleur combineren met de moonflower. Maar als stand-alone-effect (zeker met meerdere apparaten) geeft het een mooie wash-effect (echt wash, geen enkele vorm van beam zichtbaar, de hele kamer in kleur), in combinatie met de stralen.
Ohja, en zonder een beetje rook of mist slaat een effect als deze nergens op (tenzij je kat de dansende puntjes op de muur leuk vind), maar dat is natuurlijk een open deur...
Gezien de prijs van vergelijkbare apparaten, is dit natuurlijk een koopje. Ik had m 5 sterren gegeven als amber ook echt amber was geweest.
