General

Spotting a keytar will take a lot of us right back to the eighties; the days of big hair and Miami Vice. Would you believe the original keytar actually came into existence at the end of the 18th century? It's a crowd-pleaser for sure, and Alesis have added some extra features to this Vortex Wireless 2 USB/MIDI keytar to make it truly irresistible!

Features of the Alesis Vortex Wireless 2

Essentially, this instrument is worn as a guitar but has all the perks of a synth. The Vortex features RGB pads and sliders, a tilt sensor, and the keys themselves are velocity-sensitive with aftertouch. You can play your DAW sounds and influence them in real-time. As well as Avid Pro Tools First, it also comes with a list of instrument plugins like Hybrid 3 and TimewARP 2600 and can be connected via MIDI or USB for total freedom of movement. Simply plug in the included USB dongle to play the Vortex wirelessly!

Wrote the following about Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 USB/MIDI Keytar (Red)
