General

The Retronyms Wej (pronounced as 'wedge') MIDI interface and USB hub is a great product for any iPad musician. It solves a lot of practical problems in one go and adds a fun light affect to boot!

Possibilities for the Retronyms Wej

If you use an iPad for making music, you might experience that the iPad slides over the table when you try to use the virtual fader. The Wej solves this as it's a sort of iPad stand with an anti-slip silicone top layer. Another issue you may run into is when you want to connect two devices to the iPad, such as two keyboard controllers. The Wej comes to the rescue once more with a USB hub for connecting multiple devices! Another problem is that a connected device costs energy from the iPad, but the Wej has a solution to that problem too by means of an alternative power source.

Light show

Besides being a practical solution, the Wej also adds a fun and funky light show to your setup! It boasts 48 LED lights that are driven by MIDI and audio signals managed by the Wej. This makes it great for use on stage. To sum up, the Wej is essentially a large communication manager for your iPad with the ability to control the power source, MIDI and audio. All you need to provide is your iPad, your gear, and your inspiration!
