The hypercardioid pattern has a narrower front pickup pattern than the cardioid version and registers minimal ambient noise so the mic can be pointed directly at the mouth of the speaker and no sound will be picked up from either side. Since some sound can be picked up via the back of the mic, it is wise to pay attention to where any monitors are placed when using this version of the Isomax. This is the black hypercardioid version with stripped wire ends, suitable for pigtail transmitters (2 wire 2kOhm).
