There are few electric guitars that are as easy to take on a trip as the Höfner Shorty. This travel guitar is most notable for its minimal body size. Its scale length is normal, however, so you can play this guitar as you're used to. It is a rugged, great-sounding guitar that comes with a Hofner gig bag. The Hofner Shorty CT you see here is the blue version.
The unique Shorty
Hofner's Shorty CT - first issued in the eighties - is a remarkably versatile instrument. It produces a rugged, warm and full sound thanks to its Hofner Open Humbucker that is great for styles like rock, hard rock and metal. All in all, its a very convenient, neatly finished and unique-looking addition to your electric-guitar collection.
Hofner instruments

Leuk ding, speelt best fijn alleen moeten ze er al standaard wat dikkere snaren op doen.
+ ziet er goed uit, mooi afgewerkt, heel handig om mee te nemen
-voor zitpositie kun je best een strap gebruiken anders weegt de nek door en bij snaren verwisselen moet de brug eraf...

Kwam behoorlijk goed afgesteld zo uit de verpakking. Na wat fine tuning en nieuwe snaren is dit een heerlijke gitaar geworden.
De vorm went verassend vlug, ondanks de kleine afmeting. Ook zittend zonder band.
Het geluid, ik vond 'm een beetje schril en iel maar wel hard. De potmeters vervangen voor 2x 500Kohm log. (er zatten 250Kohm in, niet echt gebruikelijk voor een humbucker)
Hierna een behoorlijk vet geluid gekregen zoals een humbucker moet klinken.
Alleen snaren verwisselen kan vervelend zijn. De humbucker had best 1cm opgeschoven kunnen worden wat mij betreft. Deze zit erg dicht op de brug waar je een snaar zou moeten invoeren. Het element (pick-up ring) even verwijderen is handiger als je b.v. 1 snaar wil vervangen.
Anders alleen mogelijk door verwijdering brug wat opnieuw afstellen inhoud.
De kleur is niet zo knal blauw als de foto op de site laat zien maar meer hamerslag/metalic blauw, wat 'm eigenlijk veel mooier maakt.
Kortom een heerlijke gitaar om er bij te hebben voor thuis of mee te nemen.
