General

Even though this chic guitar is immediately recognisable as a genuine Telecaster, Fender have taken the construction and sound of this Tele FMT HH in a completely different direction. This guitar features a mahogany body, a set-in mahogany neck and a flamed maple top. These materials and construction are unusual for a Telecaster and thus result in an unusual sound for a Tele: one with lots of warmth and sustain.

FMT/HH

FMT stands for Flamed Maple Top, which beautifully adorns the contoured mahogany body. The body of this guitar has contours so that it rests against your body comfortably. The set-in neck and mahogany body allow for a sustain that is nothing short of spectacular whiel the HH indicates pickup configuration includes two Seymour Duncan humbuckers: a Pearly Gates at the bridge for a warm, vintage output and rough edges, and a familiar, versatile '59 in the neck position for country, jazz, heavy rock, blues, funk and heavier types of music.

General Characteristics

The mahogany body and laurel fretboard give this Tele a warm sound that is beautifully complemented by the sparkle of the maple top. This Telecaster has a push/pull function that turns the coilsplit function of the humbuckers on or off, offering you - in addition to the sound of the humbuckers - the single-coil twang that made the Telecaster so well known and loved. The jumbo frets on the slender neck ensure comfortable playability. This Tele FMT HH is available in three different versions. This Amber edition allows the beautiful grain of the maple top to really shine.

Wrote the following about Fender Special Edition Custom Tele FMT HH (Amber)

Echt een geweldige tele. Ik heb deze gitaar nu al een jaar en ik ben er zeker te vreden over. Met de humbuckers en wat overdrive klinkt deze tele geweldig.

De pluspunten van deze tele zijn:

-De hals is wat dikker dan die van een standaard tele ( vind ik fijner ).

-Heeft een coiltab

-Goed gewicht

-Set neck

-Blijft gestemd

-Speelt fijn

-Resoneert vrij goed

De minpunten zijn:

-De volume pod werkte niet helemaal goed, als je op drive kannaal zit en je draait de volume terug wordt ie niet helemaal helder ( kan alleen de mijne zijn )

Verder is het wel een geweldige gitaar en het uitproberen zeker waard!

Wrote the following about Fender Special Edition Custom Tele FMT HH (Amber)

Prachtige Telecaster. Goed gebouwd en mooi afgewerkt. Het was eigenlijk precies wat ik zocht.
De gelijmde hals was super en de gitaar had een goede sustain. De mahonie body is niet echt licht maar wel te doen en heeft goede contouren. Voor deze prijs verder een schitterende prima gitaar.
Toch was het niet mijn geluid en de toonregeling maakte het daar niet beter op deze was nogal wazig.
Ik heb er nog over gedacht om er andere elementen en potmeter in te zetten, maar ik zoek toch eerst verder.
Daarom heb ik hem een week uitgeprobeerd en toen toch geretourneerd. Dat liep allemaal prima bij Bax.
