Native Instruments has announced that Traktor and all related software and hardware are now fully supported by Apple's latest operating system, OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan. Please note, however, that the Traktor 2.10.0 installer is still dependent on the latest drivers. When you install Traktor 2.10.0, this means you'll have to download the latest drivers in order to get it to function properly. To do so, visit the NI Service Center, click 'Update' and then 'Show Details' in the 'Driver and Patch Downloads' section.

Denon DJ can't deny it. They were a strong contender on the market years ago, but have been more or less off the radar lately. Ever since the introduction of the digital DJ, Denon DJ has taken some blows from the competition. Now, they're announcing a comeback, and we're pretty sure they'll have something new to show us at NAMM 2016.

Denon has already announced that the company will return to the DJ market at full force on January 18th. With the arrival of the MCX8000 - and the images we've seen of it so far - we can't help but get excited about what this new piece of DJ kit promises to offer. Official specifications haven't been announced yet, however, so like everyone else, we'll have to wait patiently until Denon DJ uncovers more specific information.

Last week we posted a preview stating that Denon DJ would soon unveil their MCX8000, and now the official release is upon us. This 4-channel DJ mixer can be used as a standalone unit, but it's also great as a MIDI controller for Serato DJ and Denon's music management package Engine. As the MCX8000 can operate both, it allows for smooth transitions between two DJs.

The NS7III beam bearing three displays was a very sensible improvement on the NS7II. Numark wasn't blind to its success either, and have therefore released the Dashboard; a long beam with three 4.3-inch displays to use with any hardware that's compatible with the Serato DJ controller.
