General

The much-praised Tech 21 SansAmp Character Blonde V2 convincingly mimics the amplifier sounds of one of the most famous American guitar brands! You can experiment with several controls while being taken on a wild ride through American rock history - from bright, sparkling cleans and distortions with lavishly growling bass to the fattest sounds of heavily boosted leads.

The Tech 21 SansAmp Character Series

Each of the Tech 21 Character Series pedals emulates The sound of a famous brand's (bass) guitar amplifier. The stomp boxes are - like a guitar amp - fitted with Level and Drive controls. Less traditional, however, is the wide range of sounds that their active tone controls offer. The most striking feature is the Character knob, which can steplessly go through the entire range of amplifier models - from vintage to high gain to screaming leads.

Tech 21 Blonde V2 (SansAmp Character Series)
Wrote the following about Tech 21 Blonde V2 (SansAmp Character Series)
The Sans amp character series are truly fantastic.

So why might you want one?

Basically, if like me you LOVE pedals , but have never really been a big Amplifier nerd the Tech 21 style solution is fairly awesome.

I play in a wedding/ party function band and I decided after years of using an amp that I'm just plain sick of them. The bulky, annoying , loud things.

So the Tech 21 Sans Amp blonde basically becomes your amplifier...but it's a pedal. It perfectly replicates the tonal qualities of (in this case) several Fender amplifiers. Really, Really good sound.

What's more is you can switch on a very nice Cabinet simulator which will allow you to run your pedal board directly into a PA system or Recording device.

I love that you can switch this simulator off as it allows you to invest in better (more versatile) cabinet simulators...such as the Bluguitar BluBox .

For best results you MUST be careful with pre Sans Amp gain gain pedals. Overloading the SansAmp will make it sound less impressive... just use your ears and think logically about the gain stage/stacking that you are creating.

All in all this as a fantastic pedal/amp-in-a-box that will make your life so much easier.

The price is a little high... but not enough to lose a star rating.
