General

Technics announces the SL-1200GR, a reissue of their ultimate SL-1200 turntable! It's the same legendary device with improved, modern functionality. Unlike the SL-1200G the brand launched previously, this record player is much more affordable, which means you'll be getting the same awesome quality this dependable turntable has to offer at a truly unbeatable price. It features a coreless direct-drive motor that effectively prevents any instability, and is driven by two magnetic rotary motors on either side of the sturdy, die-cast aluminium platter. As a result, your S/N ratio is as good as zero!

Stylish as a sportscar, built like a tank

The fundamental design of the SL-1200GR hasn't changed much compared to the original, but the device itself has been greatly improved. It has a reinforced platter that keeps noise to a minimum, and the tone arm housing is designed to follow the smallest grooves in your record with precision. What's more, its gold-plated RCA connections deliver purely sublime audio. This turntable has everything you need, including three adjustable speeds, a pitch fader, a light to help you lower the stylus into the right groove, a 45RPM adapter, and a dust cover.

Thursday 21 January 2016 By Lizanne

The last couple weeks, we've only seen online teasers of the new brand, Mixars. Apparently, the brain behind this company is in Italy at dB Technologies! Yes, that's right. dB Technologies is known for a countless number of smooth-sounding active loud speakers. It's therefore pretty remarkable that this brand is announcing their debut in a time where the DJ market seems pretty over-saturated as it is. It's been years since a serious DJ brand appeared out of nowhere, and the Italians sure seems determined to succeed with their entry-level product range and is ready to take on some heavy competition.
