General

The S-1608 and the S-0816 digital snakes are the compact versions of the popular S-4000. They are quick to install and easy to use. The S-1608/0816 are small-sized audio snake solutions, offering the best audio signal available in a mobile snake system. As such, the S-1608/0816 is ideal for bands, corporate A/V events, seminars, rental companies and staging venues. Even houses of worship and radio stations may benefit from the top-quality sound this digital snake provides. The high frequency loss and bulk of analogue snakes are a thing of the past!

Digital Snake with a High-Grade Preamplifier

As opposed to analogue multi-core snake cables, digital RSS snakes are equipped with high-grade, remote-controlled microphone preamplifiers. These preamps have been specifically designed for live audio applications. They are composed of high-grade components, which have been carefully selected by Roland's engineers.

The S-1608: sound quality with a high resolution

Having the best mic preamps on stage ensures that the sound is amplified and converted at the source. As such, signal loss is reduced to a minimum. By using a CAT5e cable instead of large, multi-core copper cables, the S-1608 digital snake eliminates humming and buzzing noises as well. Several snakes can easily be combined, allowing you to make stage configurations such as Left, Right and Centre. All you have to do is run a CAT5e cable from the Front of House.
