Roland's GO:PIANO88 is a lightweight digital piano with 88 full-size, weighted keys that give it the same feel as playing an acoustic piano. It has top-quality sounds on board that include pianos, electric pianos, organs and strings. The GO:PIANO88 can even be powered by batteries which means you can play it virtually anywhere.

Bluetooth and more

You can easily connect a device like a smartphone or tablet to the GO:PIANO88 because it has Bluetooth built in. That means you can play along with your favourite songs, use different apps to enhance your piano playing experience or even take piano lessons online. Everything is played back through two 10-watt speakers, but you can also plug in a set of headphones if you prefer. If you want to add even more expression to your playing, you've got the option to connect a separately available sustain pedal too.

Recording

At some point, you may want to record yourself playing and you can do so using the built-in recorder. You can also connect a computer via the USB micro B and transfer MIDI data. In case you want to make video recordings, you can connect the GO:PIANO88 and your smartphone to the GO: MIXER PRO. This way, you're able to combine sound, video and vocals, should you so desire.

Ik ben misschien wat verwend met de Roland FP30X die al had. Ik wilde een piano erbij voor de zanglessen, wat lichter van gewicht en toch ok qua geluid. Het gewicht is inderdaad een stuk minder, dus wat dat betreft wel een score. Het geluid is voor mij niet goed genoeg. Ook zijn de toetsen een stuk minder prettig. Ik heb toch maar iets dieper in de buidel getast zodat ik me niet steeds zou irriteren. Ik zou me kunnen voorstellen dat deze GO wel ok is wanneer je beginner bent en geen vergelijkingsmateriaal hebt in de vorm van een echte piano of een duurdere (betere) elektrische piano. Iemand die al wat gewend is zou ik deze niet aanraden.

De Roland Go is een prima instap digitale piano voor deze prijs. In de tekst staat dat de piano gewogen toetsen heeft, maar dat klopt niet helaas. Voor mij was dat wel belangrijk, om dichter bij het gevoel van een echte piano te komen. Dit klavier is semi-gewogen, hij speelt wat zwaarder dan een keyboard, maar zeker niet als een piano. Er zit een pedaal bij (staat in de tekst van niet), deze doet een beetje denken aan een naaimachine-pedaal maar het doet zijn ding. Het ontbreken van echt gewogen toetsen was voor mij de reden deze piano terug te sturen. Pluspunt is dat het Roland geluid perfect is. Het minimalistische design en het lage gewicht zijn ook ideaal.
