General

The Line 6 Spider IV 30W 1x 12-inch guitar combo offers you a choice between six amplifier models, including Clean, Blues, Metal and - oh yes - Insane. With two options per model you can draw from a wide range of sounds. Moreover, there are seven additional effects at your disposal, such as Chorus and Delay. Its CD/MP3 player input allows you to play music with it. If you choose to practice in silence or record directly (bypassing the speaker) you can use the headphone output. You are ready for the big league with the Line 6 Spider IV 30-watt 1x 12-inch guitar combo.

Control up to three effects at once via Smart Control FX

The Line 6 Spider IV 30 offers seven effects controlled by two Smart Control knobs that allow you to switch between them steplessly. The turning circle of each knob is divided into three zones, allowing the effects to go from off to full-on crazy. The Smart Control FX knob number 1 controls Chorus/Flange, Phaser and Tremolo while number 2 controls Delay, Tape Echo and Sweep Echo. The last effects can also be influenced by the tap tempo. Together with the independently controllable Reverb, you are equipped with three effects at once.

Programming and storing your sounds easily

You can fully program the four channels (presets) of the Line 6 Spider IV 30 yourself. You can set and store drive, EQ section, channel volume and effects for each preset. Perhaps you'd like just four Clean sounds with their own separate effects, or rather four overdrives that range from low to high gain. Shut down the automatic Noise Gate for cleans or engage the Boost for solos, the Line 6 Spider IV 30W 1x 12-inch guitar combo is ready for anything.

Tips or comments about this product

To control the presets remotely you can use the optional Line 6 FBV2 or FBV Express MKII foot switch.

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

The VOX VTX Series - Evolution Accelerated

Wednesday 4 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

It's already been more than 10 years since VOX turned the amplifier world on its head with the Valvetronix series. This series of amps combined digital modelling technology with convincing tube sounds. Since then, models have slowly but steadily improved along with digital technology. Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.
