If you're looking for a compact and affordable valve guitar amplifier to set up in your bedroom, the classic tweed-finished Fazley Galactic Tube 5 Watt combo is an excellent choice. In addition to a 12AX7 (AKA ECC83) preamp valve, this little practice amp features an EL84 power amp valve - both of which have been made by JJ and combine with a single 8" speaker for that famed-and-bright, British valve-sound.

The Galactic Tube 5: Send Cleans or Distortion Through a Celestion G8C-15 Speaker

Fazley have opted for a Celestion G8C-15 speaker to not only ensure balanced trebles and mids, but a rich bass register, giving both the clean and the overdrive channel enough bite and bottom.

Parfait petit combo a lampes je cherchais quelque chose de plus pratique que mon 60W ashdown peacemaker pour jouer chez moi sans rendre sour les voisin et je ne suis pas déçu, je pensais que la disto serait un peu molle mais pas du tout je joue principalement du métal le canal saturé permet d'avoir des sonorités métal des 80' pour plus de gain j'ai une pédale mais même sans le son est convainquant la petite gamelle de 8' est un peu limite mais branché sur un deux gamelle 12' Célestion Vintage 30 c'est une autre affaire les graves ressortent mieux et avec plus de profondeur et les médiums sont incisifs et tranchants. Je joue avec des guitares équipées en EMG 81-60 et 81-85 ainsi qu'un set Seymour Duncan SH6 distorsion Mayhem et c'est une tuerie. Je le conseille aux musiciens qui veulent un ampli compact et pas cher pour jouer tranquille à la maison sans se ruiner et avoir le son lampe. Son petit look vintage est vraiment sympa et trouveras sa place dans le salon.

Look vintage, pur lampes, petite puissance largement suffisant, reste plus qu'à le jouer pendant 30 ans tous les soirs dans un rade.

Prima kleine buizen amp en ook mooi.
Geprobeerd bij de Bax winkel en hij deed het, thuis verder op klank en constructie getest. Geluid is lekker old school, single coils en p90 klinken strak en helder. Soms beetje scherp, *kun je wegdraaien.
Van binnen veilig gemaakt zo te zien. Nette bekabeling, bouten en schroeven goed vaste en niets tegen schakelaar of trafo’s geschoefd. JJ buizen en Celestion speaker. *Zit bij mij in de 4ohm output (?!).
Externe speaker aansluiten mogelijk, interne haal ik dan maar los, want die blijft anders meedoen. 4 ohm en een 8 ohm wordt 12 of 3 geloof ik.
Als los combo klinkt het lekker en dynamisch. Ja het is een klein kastje, dat valt niet echt op bij thuisgebruik. Gain kanaal is lekker basic rock, old school.
Clean kanaal: Reverb is aan te raden, lust dan alle pedalen. Reverb, tremolo, tubescreamer, bad monkey enz. Mooi!
Gain kanaal is niet zo van de externe reverb. ( bij alle buizenamps waar je reverbpedalen voor de gain hebt geeft dat modderige waaigalm .)
Met een 12” celestion externe kast klinkt het een stuk voller natuurlijk maar niet harder. Wel meer laag.
Vox pathfinder kan met pensioen. Leuk ding, klein bedrag voor een thuis-buizenampje.
