Met de laatste begonnen met m'n Guild Pilot 5-snarige bas uit 1990 viel het me direct op dat de TC strak, helder en punchy klonk! Ik dacht nog.....nou, dit begint goed voor de vermeende verliezer.
De toonregelmogelijkheden op de Ashdown zijn legio en moest dus goed komen. Aangesloten hoorde ik een soort nasale klank(zo noem ik het maar) die mij niet positief stemde. Ik kon aan de toonregeling draaien en schakelen wat ik wilde maar ik kreeg de klank niet voor mijn gevoel op orde. Hoewel ik de indruk had dat er wel wat meer rond laag uit de Ashdown kwam kon de totaalklank mij absoluut niet bekoren.
Toen ik een Markbass 2 x 10 combo( 1000) in het rek voor m'n neus zag staan, heb ik deze er ook nog bij uitgeprobeerd. M'n ervaring met Markbass was heel goed maar is helaas flink aan de prijs.
De klank van de TC kwam erg dicht in de buurt van de Markbass en toen was het voor mij helemaal duidelijk....het is de TC Eletronic BG250-210 geworden en niet de Ashdown.
Deze combo klinkt zoals mijn bas klinkt: heel lekker, ben er zeer blij mee!!
Ik had deze versterker al op de site gezien en uiteraard wou ik hem uitproberen.
Bij het uitproberen stond ik versteld van het geluid. Kraak helder! Je kunt er een heerlijk punchy geluid uit krijgen, maar ook de volle, diepe bas klanken kunnen de 2x10'' speakers makkelijk aan!
Ook de diepe B snaar van een 5 snarige bas kan hij makkelijk aan.
De layout van de toonregeling is eenvoudig. Gain, bass, mid en treble.
Ook kun je de toneprint draaiknoppen zien. Met een app kun je een effect uitkiezen en deze dus in je versterker zetten. Je kunt 2 effecten opslaan.
Ook zit er een ingebouwde tuner in. Super handig!
Na een paar maanden ben ik nog steeds super blij met deze versterker. Echt een aanrader voor iedereen die een goeie, stevige versterker wilt
