General

Already renowned for delivering the fattest funk sound on the planet, the extensively tweakable, groovy and organic sound of the M82 Bass Envelope Filter pedal couldn't be possible without the genuine, vintage analogue circuits that lie inside. Twist the Dry and Effect pots to mix and hit the sweet spot between the direct signal and the effect and create every funk-worthy sound under the sun without fear of any low frequency loss. As a sweet bonus, this Limited Edition Blackout Series offering has been dipped in matte black and fitted with a fierce yellow LED.

The MXR M82B Blackout Series Bass Envelope Filter

Engage the MXR M82 Bass Envelope filter by hitting the solid footswitch, and as soon as you kick it off, the true bypass circuit makes sure that the natural clarity of your dry bass sound is left untouched. When you dial up the Q-pot, you dial up the intensity, while the Sens pot adjusts the filter sensitivity so you can dictate how the effect responds to your attack. Packed away in a super-solid and compact box, this special edition MXR pedal can be neatly slotted into a corner of any pedalboard.

NAMM 2016: Maintenance-Free Tape-Echo by Dunlop

Wednesday 20 January 2016 By Lizanne

Lots of guitarists out there would love to experiment with an old-school tape echo. You know, those warm, analogue 60s-70s delays, brought about by a tape recorder with all sorts of fascinating controls. Unfortunately, there are no free rides in this world. The price of a (secondhand) tape recorder, if you can find one, is often astronomical, not to mention the costs of the cartridges and maintenance. So, Dunlop launched the EP103 Echoplex.
