Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe (SansAmp Character Series)

General

The fully analogue Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe (from the SansAmp Character Series) is a fusion of the VT Bass and Bass Driver Deluxe. The VT Bass offers an amazingly accurate tone emulation of a famous American bass amplifier brand, while the Bass Driver D.I. Deluxe royally contributes with its extensive functionality. Via three foot switches, you can activate and store your favourite settings (up to 6 presets) and a fourth switch allows you to go from bank to instrument or engage the effects loop. Additionally, the VT Bass Deluxe can be used as a neutral D.I.

The options of the VT Bass Deluxe

The SansAmp VT Bass Deluxe features two instrument inputs, a parallel output (dry signal), send/return, and an XLR output for a direct connection to a mixer. Use the six controls, ranging from clean vintage sounds to rough overdrives and smashing distortions, to accurately edit your personal sounds. Press a foot switch twice to store a setting. If you want to find out which button settings go with which preset, simply activate the preset and turn a knob until the LED stops blinking.

The Tech 21 SansAmp Character Series

Each of the Tech 21 Character Series pedals emulates the sound of a famous brand's (bass)guitar amplifier. The stomp boxes are - like a guitar amp - fitted with Level and Drive controls. Less traditional, however, is the wide range of sounds that their active tone controls offer. The most striking feature is the Character knob, which can steplessly go through the entire range of amplifier models - from vintage to high gain to screaming leads.

• Apart from a battery or adapter, this pedal can also be powered by phantom power from a mixer, for instance. 24V DC is required, 48V DC is recommended (to power the LED indicator)
• In case you use an adapter, please make sure it has a centre negative 2.1mm connector and produces a minimum of 100mA. It can be either regulated or unregulated
