Wrote the following about Fenton TA60 Stereo Amplifier

Dit is geen buizenversterker. Het is een elektronische ab versterker. Het geluid is op zich prima, hoewel er een zachte 100hz brom hoorbaar is. De buizen zijn voor de sier en worden verlicht met led’s onder de buizen. Voor de nostalgie is ie leuk, voor het geluid niet zo. Maar ja, wat kun je verwachten voor deze prijs.

Ik kreeg laatst een Lenco koffer platenspeler en daar hoort natuurlijk een buizenversterker bij. Ik kwam de Fenton TA60 tegen op de Bax site. Het is geen versterker met buizen in de eindtrap, maar alleen buizen in de voorversterker. Het geluid is echter uitstekend, dit had ik niet verwacht. Ook de USB ingang is leuk, je kunt direct van een USB stick muziek afspelen.

Ik heb hem bij Bax Muziek besteld omdat ik daar meer vertrouwen in had, plus dat deze een ringkern trafo heeft, een ringkern heeft een kleiner strooiveld dus dat komt de kwaliteit ten goede.

Ik vind het een aanrader en is je geld zeker waard, je haalt een stukje nostalgie in huis met deze versterker.

These class D model's names all begin with the letters EPA and come in three 2-channel versions and two 4-channel versions. They automatically switch themselves to Standby mode when there is no audio signal and with passive cooling they are virtually maintenance free.
