General

With the THR100H amplifier, Yamaha created a highly versatile piece of equipment in one surprisingly compact package. Whether you're going on stage or rehearsing at home, the THR100H will be there for you. Thanks to the various possible connections and the switchable output power, this Yamaha amp is great for virtually any type of situation. Weighing in at under four kilos, this amp head is about 85% lighter than your average 100W tube amp! Furthermore, the USB output and XLR line output allow you to use the THR100H for professional-sounding recordings. Finally, for the sake of user-friendliness, Yamaha chose to give it a traditional layout. No menus, no hidden features; just plug in and play!

THR100H: dynamic sound and footswitch

A good amp needs to do more than sound good, the entire experience needs to be excellent. Luckily, thanks to the engineers at Yamaha, the THR100H offers excellent dynamics, allowing it to breath life into every note you play and power into every chord! Even at low volumes, the interaction between the amp and the speakers is remarkable. You might not hear the difference right away, but you'll feel it immediately. With the included footswitch you can enable the booster to give your sound that extra edge. There's also optional software that allows you to adjust the type of boost it generates, from clean to overdrive. Furthermore, the footswitch can also be used to toggle the four available types of reverb and the FX loop.

Versatile amp head

Yamaha decided to make the THR100H as versatile as possible, allowing you to switch between five different amp types, as well as five different tube types. The Modern amp type gives you an American-style sound with a fat, saturated overdrive. For a more British-style sound with a rich medium-gain, you choose the Lead type. Crunch gives you that bright British tone with sparkling trebles. And for a warm tone with excellent dynamics, you need the Clean settings. If you don't want any overdrive at all, you can choose the Solid setting, for the type of clean that only a transistor amp can offer. Combine these amp types with any of the five tube types (EL34, 6L6GC, KT88, EL84 en 6V6), and you'll have access to the sounds of the world's most iconic guitar amplifiers.

Yamaha THR100H 100 Watt guitar amplifier head
Wrote the following about Yamaha THR100H 100 Watt guitar amplifier head
Eerdere ervaringen met o.a.
