General
The Live-X series by Electro Voice has been specially designed for musicians for use during live performances. This ELX 115P is a two-way 15-inch active speaker with superb musicality. It's been kept conveniently lightweight, and despite the powerful 1,000W amplifier it weighs in at only 22 kg, which is great for musicians who already have enough to carry. Moreover, the Electro Voice speakers from this series all feature wooden cabinets and robust metal grilles. Check out the optional cover for protecting the ELX 115P against cosmetic damage during transport.
EV ELX115P: Usability
Because the ELX 115P is equipped with a 15-inch woofer, it's very well suited for use as an FOH speaker for bands and DJs, and it can also be used as a stage monitor. This active speaker is equipped with a number of different connection possibilities. You'll find two inputs on the rear panel. Input 1 has a combination XLR/jack input and a stereo RCA input, while input 2 has just the combination XLR/jack input. Both inputs have their own volume control so you can easily set everything up without needing a mixer. Finally, you can also use the rear panel to make your own mixes, such as mixing a microphone and an MP3 player, for example.
Expansion Options
All of the speakers from the Live-X series were designed to be combined with one another. That means you can easily put together a variety of mono and stereo setups with or without subwoofers. If you're a singer-songwriter who plays in cafes with up to about a hundred listeners, then you can provide ample sound with two ELX 115P speakers on stands. If you're a DJ who spins at parties of up to 150 people, then an ELX 118P subwoofer makes a perfect addition to the setup. If you spin at larger parties or if you play with a complete band, then a configuration with two ELX 115Ps and two ELX 118P subwoofers is ideal. All of the speakers are easy to set up and connect to one another, thanks to the variety of inputs and line outputs available on each model.

Geluid is helder en laat zich zeker niet snel oversturen. Ik heb ze zelf nooit in de piek gehad.
Deze EV ELX 115 TOP Speaker klinkt op zowel laag als hoog volume echt perfect.
Afgelopen week besteld en zoals bekend weer super snel geleverd door BAXSHOP.
Direct dit weekend uitgebreid getest tijdens de Kermis.
Heb ze gebruikt i.c.m. 4 subs (2x EV ELX 118 en 2x db Technologies Arena SW 15)(natuurlijk ook van BAXSHOP).
Ik kan alleen maar zeggen dit gaat als de brandweer.
De 2 Tops worden aangestuurd door een Behringer versterker Type EP 2500, dit gaat echt perfect.
De 4 Subs worden aangestuurd door een db Technologies versterker Type HPA 2800,dit gaat met gemak.
Naar mijn gevoel is dit een heerlijke combinatie.
Zit nog te overwegen om ook de EV ELX 112 erbij te bestellen.
+ Goed geluid op zowel hoog als laag volume
+ Kunnen tegen een stootje
+ Zien er zeer degelijk uit
+ Niet te zwaar qua gewicht
+ Robuust uiterlijk
+ Makkelijk te hanteren d.m.v. 2 handvaten
+ Op een statief of tussenpaal te plaatsen
+ Te gebruiken als monitor.

Kortom de Elx 115p is een zeer goede luidspreaker die echt een meerwaarde voor je geluidsinstallatie is met een betaalbare prijs!
